Colorful butterfly. Notice how the pattern on the wings look like eyes to ward off predators.

This is a photo of a fennec fox. They are native to the Sahara Desert. They can be owned as pets in the United States though you do have to have an exotic animals license. I plan on obtaining one in the next few years as one of my hobbies is small exotic animals. They are really adorable and some people think they are an ancestor of the chihuahua. Note the large eyes and apple shaped head.

Some really cool shots of graffiti art. I don't know exactly where the above  is located but it is a really odd sort of beautiful. I wouldn't mind living there. The below had a good message to it and its rather amazing looking.

I like the contrast of the flowers to the black and white sky and bike.

Above is a black and white of some snails. I thought it was cool how they are following each other.  I like also how they are in size order and wonder if they were placed that way or if it is just something the snails did on their own. Below is a jelly fish. I like how the light reflects off the jelly fish making it appear to glow.

Above is a white Bengal tiger underwater below is a cinnamon bengal tiger meaning it has brown stripes. We rarely see cats swimming but Bengal Tigers and Jaguars love the water. White tigers though are one of the more tragic stories of the animal kingdom. They are a result of inbreeding in zoos and places that use them for tourism. The white is a double recessive gene which means they breed them in the family to get it. The results are intellectual deformities, crossed eyes and general cranial discomfort. So do not support institutions with white tigers.

Gator Eye

This is a really cool picture of an alligator close up. You never really realize how detailed their eyes are. They seem to mimic their skin with the rough patches of black. The yellows in this picture are amazing as well considering i often think of alligators as green animals. The difference between an alligator and a crocodile is that when a alligator's mouth is shut you see no teeth but when a crocodiles mouth is shut you can see its teeth. Did you know at one time alligators were endangered?

Hey, my name is Jackie Brown. I am a Literature BSED major who enjoys art on the side. I love photography especially when it gives you a different look at subjects we see everyday. So here on my blog i will be posting various photos of a variety of subjects that i find beautiful and interesting. A few of these photos will be my own. The one above is not but i find it interesting because it is a look at a flower from beneath it. We are used to looking at flowers from above but they are beautiful and intricate from below. The photo gives a mood of hope because of the way the flower is almost reaching up to the sky.
